What Our Members Say
At The Fortnightly I made life-long friendships with other women who have similar interests. It’s always fun when we’re together!
The Haddon Fortnightly is a civic and social club for
women and is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs (NJSFWC) and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), the oldest and largest women's organization in the world.
Our club members are some of the busiest women you know! We meet monthly, on the fourth Friday at 1:00 p.m. for the General Club, or the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for the Evening Membership Department. The monthly meetings include a speaker, and a discussion of the current business at hand, along with a social time for members to enjoy being together.
We provide opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service through participation in local clubs, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time.
Since their inception, women's clubs helped start many initiatives such as kindergartens and juvenile court systems. The Fortnightly continues to tackle issues like women's rights and to gain greater influence in our communities.
Attending movies, learning crafts, participating in stimulating book discussions or having dinner with other members, the women of The Fortnightly enjoy being together as often or whenever they choose.
