An Afternoon in Venice
Marie Ohanesian Nardin, author of “Beneath the Lion’s Wings”
Save the date for the exciting second lecture in The Haddon Fortnightly Author Lecture Series on Sunday April 29th at 4 pm at The Haddon Fortnightly Clubhouse. If you love Venice, this is a not to be missed event!
We will be treated to a visit by Marie Ohanesian Nardin, author of “Beneath the Lion’s Wings” about an American who meets and falls in love with a gondolier in Venice. Marie is the wife of gondolier Roberto Nardin, and will come from their home in Venice to discuss the novel. The love-at-first-sight meeting in the book is based on their real life story.
There will be cicchetti (Italian appetizers) provided by the outstanding caterer Foodwerx, and a Prosecco cocktail offered by Custom Travel Services that is the favorite of the gondoliers. Perhaps even a surprise virtual visit with those gentlemen, as well as a book signing by the author.
The books are hardcover editions, and will be made available through Julie of Inkwood Books. Prices are:
Admission only: $20
Admission for one person, plus book: $40
Admission for one couple, plus one copy of book: $55
Admission includes book talk, post-talk reception, and one cocktail per person. The author will sign books.
